How to view faults and alarms in the SEMS+ app

When your GoodWe system detects a problem, it logs a fault code or alarm in the SEMS+ app. This is the fastest way to understand what's happening with your system and gives us the information we need to help you resolve it quickly.

How to find alarms in the app

Open the SEMS+ app and log in. On the home screen, tap Alarms. This will show a list of any active or recent faults across your system, including the fault name, code, and the time it was triggered.

Tap on any alarm to see more detail about the fault type and any recommended actions.

What to do with a fault code

Take a screenshot of the alarm screen or write down the fault code and description exactly as it appears. This is the most useful thing you can give us when you contact support — it tells us precisely what the system has detected and allows us to advise the right course of action without needing a site visit in most cases.

If the alarm clears on its own

Some faults — such as brief grid fluctuations — will clear automatically once the underlying condition resolves. If an alarm appears and then disappears without any action, monitor the system over the next day or two to see if it recurs. If the same fault keeps coming back, contact us.

If the alarm doesn't clear

If an alarm is still showing after 30 minutes and the system isn't running normally, follow the steps in our guide: GoodWe: System not producing power or showing a fault.
