How do warranty claims work?

Your solar system is covered by two kinds of warranty: the manufacturer's warranties on the equipment itself (panels, inverter and battery each have their own), and our workmanship warranty on the installation. If something fails, you do not need to deal with the manufacturer - we handle the claim for you.

How it works:

1. Email service@brightearthsolar.com.au with your name, address and a description of the problem. Photos help a lot, as does any error code or fault message showing in your monitoring app.

2. We diagnose the issue - often we can do this remotely from your system's monitoring data; sometimes we will need to visit site.

3. If a component is faulty, we lodge the warranty claim with the manufacturer on your behalf and keep you updated on its progress.

4. Once the manufacturer approves the claim, we arrange the repair or replacement. Timeframes vary by manufacturer and parts availability - we will give you an honest estimate as soon as the claim is accepted.

Good to know: warranties cover faults in the equipment itself. Damage from external events - storms, floods, animals or accidental damage - is usually a matter for your home insurance instead, and we can provide reports and quotes to support an insurance claim.

Not sure whether your issue is a warranty matter? Just email service@brightearthsolar.com.au and we will point you in the right direction.
